Hiking in Serfaus
Your hiking adventure starts in Serfaus. You can set off on your hike from right outside your front door, or catch one of the numerous cable cars up into the mountains for an alpine mountain tour. The options range from leisurely and easier family tours to challenging high alpine hikes. You'll find sustenance along the way at numerous alpine huts and mountain restaurants, as well as viewpoints and rest areas that invite you to linger and recuperate.
Six Senses hiking trail
A lovely hike, for example, is the Six Senses hiking trail through the Serfaus forests, with wonderful and always different views of the surrounding mountains. On the way to the halfway station of the Komperdell cable car line, you can cool down with a refreshing drink at the Hög Alm alpine hut or even take a refreshing dip in the Högsee lake. If you want some more hiking, you can take from there the hiking trail Waalweg with some nice views back to Serfaus.

Murmeltiersteig hiking trail
You'd prefer a day's hiking in the high alpine regions? Catch the Komperdell cable car line to the halfway station or even further up to Lazid station and climb our highest peak – the majestic Furgler – by following the Murmeltiersteig hiking trail past Furglersee lake or the route past the Tieftalsee lake. Our tip: climb it at sunrise! By the way, the Murmeltiersteig ("marmot trail") lives up to its name. You are bound to see more than just one of these cute creatures on your climb.

1. Pirate Trail (Piratenweg) – the classic
Age: approx. 4–10 years

2. Murmliwasser + Six Senses Trail

3. Hög Adventure Park + Marble Run Trail (Kugelweg) back to Serfaus

Hög Adventure Park is just a short walk from the Alpkopf mid-station and offers a wide range of attractions for all ages:
- Swimming or Pedalo in Lake Hög (Högsee)
- Playgrounds and water playgrounds
- Restaurants
Ideal for a full day out with the family. And for those who want a little more, you can finish by walking down the themed trail—featuring a wooden ball run (€2 per ball)—to Serfaus.

Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis offers numerous easy hikes for beginners and families. Particularly popular options include the Panorama-Genussweg (Panoramic Pleasure Trail), the Murmliweg, and the Piratenweg (Pirate Trail). If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can take the mountain lift up and start your hike directly on the mountain, allowing you to cover significant elevation gain comfortably by gondola.
Yes. Various guided hikes and mountain tours are offered in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis during the summer season. The program ranges from leisurely walks to more challenging summit tours, such as the ascent of the Furgler. You can find current dates and registration details in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis activity program.
Not all of them, but many hiking trails in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis are stroller-friendly. Wide, paved family trails and panoramic paths are particularly recommended. The Piratenweg can also be explored with an all-terrain stroller. However, for alpine paths and more demanding mountain tours, we recommend using a child carrier.

The Murmeltiersteig is a moderately difficult mountain trail that leads from Lazid via Kitzköpfl and Furglersee towards Komperdell. We therefore recommend sturdy hiking or trekking shoes with good tread, secure support, and a proper fit. Standard casual shoes are less suitable for alpine hiking trails.
Blisters and pressure points are often caused by ill-fitting shoes, friction, or unsuitable socks. At the first sign of trouble, you should protect the affected area with a blister plaster as soon as possible. If problems occur regularly, it is worth taking a close look at the fit of your hiking boots.
